It already happened by itself
Since 19 January 2025 a job change triggers the transfer on its own. Check first: if it has happened, there is no form to file.

Complete KYC: Aadhaar, bank and PAN linked to the UANAlways
With KYC complete neither the old nor the new employer has to approve it. This is the single condition that removes all the waiting.

If the old PF sat with an exempted trust. You have to ask the trust for it, and it is the slowest link in this route.

Approval from the old or the new employer
Dispensed with for KYC-compliant accounts. By 25 February 2026 over 70 lakh transfers had been triggered with nobody involved.

Cancelled cheque
Nothing leaves the system in a transfer, so no bank proof is involved.

Worth knowing

Consolidating into one account is the most important thing to do before a final settlement. Scattered accounts are among the commonest reasons a claim comes back.
